Injection molding process and mold design of ABS material parts

[Abstract]: Commercial scanner is a high-speed and reliable commercial office equipment. The scanner tray

is an important appearance part on the scanner. Its dimensional accuracy and mechanical strength have

higher requirements, and are relatively precise injection molded parts. The research objectives of this subject

are commercial scanner tray parts design, plastic mold design, injection molding process debugging and

improvement, and the use of computer-aided analysis software to simulate and optimize products. This

article first introduces commercial scanners and pallet products. According to the use environment and

performance requirements of the parts, plastic raw materials are selected according to the star contour

model method, and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene is determined to be used as the pallet raw materials.

Clarified the structure design of the scanner tray plastic parts, including product wall thickness, demolding

slope, stiffener, fillet, stud, tray size accuracy and surface quality design. Secondly, it discusses the structure

of the injection mold of the scanner tray, and clarifies the design of the injection system, the selection and

design of the core and cavity, the layout of the cooling channel, and the design of mold parts. Once again,

the scanner tray process is discussed, and the principles of determining injection parameters, such as

injection parameters, pressure parameters, temperature parameters, and time parameters, are described.

Based on this principle, the initial process parameters of the mold are determined by combining the raw

material properties of the pallet plastic parts, the mold structure, the parameters of the injection molding

machine, etc., and the mold trial is carried out. Analyzing the results of the mold test, using orthogonal

experiments to optimize the design of the process parameters of the pallet injection molded parts for the

typical defects, obtained the influence of the relevant process parameters on the "splash" defects of the pallet,

and determined the further adjustment direction of the process parameters. Debug the process parameters in

this direction until a fully qualified product is produced. Finally, the mathematical model principle of mold flow

analysis is described in detail. Flow analysis, cooling analysis and warpage analysis of the product are carried

out through Mold flow software, and the defects that may exist during molding are pointed out, which provides

a basis for product design optimization. And according to the analysis results, the design plan is modified in

a targeted manner. A more satisfactory result was obtained after re-simulation.
